Job Summary
Direct Support Professional provides essential daily living assistance, transportation, medication management, and advocacy to individuals with developmental disabilities; responsibilities include helping with daily activities, encouraging social connections, assisting with community participation, and collaborating with families and medical professionals. Requires compassion, patience, and effective communication; comprehensive training is provided. Shifts include 2nd and 3rd (with weekends/holidays) offering up to 40 hours/week.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Pre-hire Clearances: State Police Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Clearance
- Ability to pass Medication Administration and CPR/First Aid Certification
