Job Summary
Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by assisting with daily routines, including cleaning, cooking, feeding, medication administration, and personal hygiene. Monitor health needs, report concerns immediately, and help individuals develop independent skills through community and recreational activities. Drive clients to medical appointments and ensure program documentation is completed accurately. Build support networks with community members, businesses, and families. Cooperate with staff during inspections or investigations. Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record required. Starting pay is $15.68 per hour. No experience needed; paid training provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports
- Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
