Job Summary
Direct Support Professional provides direct support, supervision, and mentoring to individuals in a residential setting, assisting with activities of daily living, personal care, life skills, and transportation. Duties include medication administration via eMAR, documentation to state and agency guidelines, maintaining the living environment to COMAR/Health Dept. standards, implementing the Person-Centered Plan and Nursing Care Plan, participating in scheduled meetings, and completing required trainings. The role requires a Maryland Medication Administration Certification, a valid driver's license, CPR/First Aid and Mandt Systems training, and availability Mon-Fri 3pm-10pm in West Friendship, MD. Education required: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Benefits and other obligations may vary with status.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
- Ability to walk, stand, sit for up to 8 hours; lift up to 50 lbs
- Possess or obtain Medication Administration Certification-Maryland Board of Nursing
- Current Driver’s License and meeting driving requirements
- CPR / First Aid, Mandt Systems training; refresh within timelines
- Training in DDA and medication administration
- Ability to utilize electronic systems for time, attendance, notes, incident reporting
