Job Summary
Assist individuals with development disabilities in living independently by helping with cooking, cleaning, laundry, and medication administration. Support community engagement through activities like walks, local events, and family visits while advocating for each person's rights and building their confidence. Maintain clear, respectful records to ensure continuity of care and provide physical assistance, including wheelchair support and lifting up to 75 pounds. Work Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 9 PM, with a requirement for a valid driver's license and completion of Medication Technician Training. Join a trauma-informed team dedicated to empowering adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to pursue their goals and live vibrant lives.
Required Qualifications
- At least 21 years old
- Valid driver's license with at least 2 years of driving experience and no more than 3 points
- Comfortable driving agency vehicles and assisting people who use wheelchairs
- Able to lift up to 75 pounds, stand for long periods, and provide physical assistance when needed
- Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete)
