Job Summary
Provide community and in-home support to disabled, elderly, and dementia patients in Barnegat, NJ; assist with daily living and help individuals integrate into the community; promote independence, social skills, self-care, and development; transport individuals to activities, appointments, and outings; offer job coaching and basic training in tech and communication skills; maintain confidentiality and privacy per HIPAA; flexible schedule; HS diploma or equivalent; valid NJ driver’s license with insurance; CPR/First Aid certification.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance in NJ
- Driving record 4 points or less
- 1-2 years of experience helping people with special abilities
- Pass state and federal background checks
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Flexible schedule
- Ability to transport individuals to activities/appointments
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- HIPAA compliance
- Ability to work in community/outings
- Own reliable vehicle
- Over 21 years of age
