Job Summary
Direct Support Professional role in Ewing, NJ providing community and support services for disabled and elderly individuals, including coaching in Supported Employment, Pre-Vocational Training, and Community-Based Supports. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living, promoting independence and social skills, transporting individuals to activities, planning weekly activities, and ensuring confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Requires 1-2 years of relevant experience, high school diploma or equivalent, valid NJ driver's license with minimal points, CPR/First Aid certification, and compliance with state regulations; part-time schedule (20 hours/week) with daytime hours Monday–Friday.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance in the state of NJ with own reliable vehicle
- Driving record with 4 points or less
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Pass state and federal background checks
- Must love working with and helping people
- Must have at least 1 - 2 years of experience helping people with special abilities
- Must be over 21 years of age or older
- Flexible schedule
- Employee must comply with state regulations and NJ Department staff in any inspection or investigation
