Job Summary
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides direct services for adults at Ada S McKinley Community Living Houses, ensuring health, safety, and skill development. Responsibilities include documenting progress towards Individual Service Plans (ISPs), assisting with personal hygiene and grooming, ensuring nutritional meals, and transporting individuals. The role requires maintaining certifications in First Aid and CPR, completing required training, and experience in caregiving or customer service. Cultural sensitivity, effective communication, and the ability to mobilize resources are essential skills for success in this position.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education equivalent
- Valid driver's license, working vehicle, car insurance, and good driving record
- 18+ years old
- 6 months of DSP / CNA / Caregiver / Customer service experience with an interest in working with disabled individuals
Desired Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of college education is preferred
