Job Summary
Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Towson, MD, working Saturday and Sunday 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. to empower individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges to live with dignity and independence. Provide hands-on support with kindness, assist with personal care (dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, bathing), follow individualized care plans and document progress, administer medications per policy, maintain a safe and supportive environment, use approved behavior support techniques, and encourage community engagement. Role may involve travel between Residential to Day programs; requires ability to lift 50+ lbs; valid U.S. driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in disability services preferred (not required—we train!)
- Ability to lift, push, or pull 50+ lbs.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with driving record requirements: at least 3 years unsuspended history with no more than 3 points, or at least 2 years unsuspended history with a clean record
