Job Summary
Direct Support Professionals at the Anne Carlsen Center support clients with disabilities in areas such as health, personal cares, therapeutic, educational, recreational, and leisure activities. Responsibilities include carrying out individual plans, fostering community participation, and ensuring clients achieve maximum growth. Candidates must complete the Center's training program, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and possess effective communication skills. A valid driver’s license and insurance are required, along with the ability to work effectively with children, staff, and families. This full-time role offers a $1000 sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Complete the Anne Carlsen Center training program
- Ability to learn and perform personal cares
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Provide proof of vehicle ownership/registration
- Drivers must maintain current proof of insurance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the area of Developmental Disabilities
- Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to rapid change
- Ability to intervene promptly in crisis/emergency situations
