Job Summary
Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides care in the home and community for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, assisting with daily living tasks, personal care, scheduling, transportation to appointments, and documentation in an electronic health system. Strong interpersonal skills, dependability, and the ability to work flexible, part-time hours including evenings and weekends are required. Training in CPR/first aid and other safety measures is provided. Bilingual is a plus. Location options include Lexington, Concord, or Salisbury, NC; on-site work with flexible scheduling and opportunities for growth.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience: entry-level, on-the-job training provided
- Proficiency with EHR systems or willingness to learn
- Reliable transportation and current auto insurance
- CPR / First Aid training provided
- Ability to assist with housekeeping, meal preparation, personal care, and transportation
