Job Summary
Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in intermediate care facilities and homes, fostering their independence, choice, and empowerment. Supervise, teach, and assist individuals in daily life activities while completing household tasks such as meal preparation and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Offer personal care assistance and ensure health and safety needs are met at all times. This role includes paid training in CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration, with no prior experience required. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, hold a valid Ohio driver's license, and possess a reliable vehicle for transporting individuals.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Personal, reliable vehicle that you're willing and able to use to transport individuals served
- Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance
- Fewer than 6 points in the last three years on your motor vehicle record
- Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch
