Job Summary
Conduct direct support for CILA and ICF residents by assisting with activities of daily living, preparing meals, and facilitating outings while promoting independence. Implement and document individual goals, administer medications, and monitor vitals per nurse protocols. Maintain a safe environment by enforcing emergency behavior management techniques, infection control standards, and body mechanics. Ensure resident safety by knowing their whereabouts at all times and reporting medical concerns or abuse immediately. Comply with state and federal regulations, attend Individual Service Plans meetings, and complete required in-service training. Assist in new employee orientation and general housekeeping tasks. Valid Illinois driver's license and current DSP certification required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Age 18 or older
- Ability to read and comprehend English at an 8th grade level based on standardized testing
- Must be a certified DSP
- Certified in CPR/First Aid
- Certified for Medication Administration or enroll in the company provided courses, achieve passing scores and become certified
- Valid Illinois driver's license
- Able to pass a criminal background check
- Able to pass a drug screen
- Able to lift at least 50lbs
- Able to stand daily
- Able to bend
- Able to lift
