Job Summary
Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support adults with developmental disabilities in day services at Hi-Hope Service Center, in both community-based and facility settings. You will supervise and support individuals per their ISP, train and assist with daily living skills (hygiene, grooming, meal prep, toileting), facilitate community outings, assist with communication using tailored tools, monitor food intake and medications per directives, provide safe transportation, document activities and progress, maintain a safe environment, report safety concerns, respond to emergencies, and work the overnight shift 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM; shifts available Sundays through Thursday.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1–2 years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in a day program setting preferred
- 21 years or older
- Capable of lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs
- Reliable transportation and valid Georgia Driver’s License
- CPR/First Aid, De-escalation Techniques, and Vehicle Evacuation Training (within 90 days of hire)
- Negative drug and TB screenings
- Clear criminal background and acceptable motor vehicle record
- Must successfully complete the TOFHLA
