Job Summary
Provide direct supervision, mentoring, and daily support to youth in foster care within a safe, structured, and trauma-informed environment. Implement behavior management strategies, teach independent living skills, and facilitate recreational and community activities. Transport youth to school, appointments, and family visits while documenting daily activities and interventions accurately. Respond to behavioral crises and emergency situations, supporting treatment plan goals and clinical recommendations. Participate in team meetings, supervision, and required trainings to serve as a positive role model. Available shifts include evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight rotations. Starting rate is $18.00 per hour with overtime opportunities. Bamboo Sunrise is a Qualified Residential Treatment Program dedicated to helping youth overcome trauma and achieve permanency.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Nevada driver's license
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass all required background checks
- Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as needed
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with youth
- Experience in foster care, residential treatment, behavioral health, education, juvenile justice, or social services
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and behavior management techniques
- Experience working with at-risk or high-needs youth
