Job Summary
Assist individuals with daily living activities including personal hygiene, bathing, feeding, grooming, transferring, and meal preparation. Transport residents to appointments and community events using a wheelchair van, while conducting routine wellness checks and providing toileting assistance during overnight shifts. Complete Individual Support Plans, daily logs, and behavioral data documentation, and administer medications with accurate record-keeping. Provide companionship, mentorship, and redirecting behaviors to uphold residents' rights, dignity, and confidentiality while maintaining a safe residential environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
- Experience in providing training, case management and appropriate service delivery to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities living in the community
- Valid Driver's License in good standing with a minimum of one year of driving experience
- Full Time Schedule 40 hours per week
- Wednesday - Saturday 11:00pm - 9:00am
- Part Time Schedules 25+ hours per week
- Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 8:00pm
- Saturday 9:00am - 11:00pm & Sunday 9:00am - 9:00pm
- Part Time less than 25 hours per week
- Tuesday 3:00pm - 11:00pm & Thursday 9:00am - 3:00pm
- Saturday & Sunday 9:00am - 9:00pm
- Able and willing to assist with heavy lifting
- Able and willing to drive wheelchair accessible company vans
- MAP (Medication Administration Program) Certification
- CPR/First Aid certification
Desired Qualifications
- MAP (Medication Administration Program) Certification; training is offered by Waystone to acquire certification within 6 months of employment
- CPR/First Aid; training is offered by Waystone to acquire certification within 3 months of employment
