Job Summary
Monitor safety 24/7 with one-on-one checks, prevent and resolve crises, and assist individuals with intellectual disabilities or severe mental illness in activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. Help build independence through problem-solving skills, transport to community events, and coordination of medical appointments while documenting care plans and vitals. Foster collaborative relationships with individuals served, families, and professionals to support social networking and vocational goals. Requires a valid Michigan driver's license, CPR/First Aid certification, and availability for 2nd shift (3 PM–11 PM) including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/ GED
- Valid State of Michigan driver's license, required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to become certified in CPR/First Aid
- Possess basic computer skills
- Dedication to assigned duties, and performance expectations
- Commitment to scheduled shifts : 2nd shift (3:PM - 11:PM) including weekends
