Job Summary
Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals with intellectual disabilities or chronic mental health conditions in Estherville, IA. Provide support based on individual goals, ensuring physical, mental, emotional, and social needs are met. Duties include implementing service plans, assisting with activities of daily living (hygiene, bathing/showering, escort, transitions, mealtime), teaching self-control and self-management, completing client documentation, facilitating a tailored daily activity schedule, coordinating transportation and appointments, and promoting safety. Must meet health and safety requirements, pass medication administration training, and maintain open communication with clients and the team. Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED/HSED preferred
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgment

- Valid Class C driver’s license required

- Reliable transportation
- Proof of state minimum liability insurance coverage
