Job Summary
Direct Support Professional (DSP) for QSAC’s Community Habilitation/Respite programs provides in-home and community-based support to individuals, following established treatment plans, promoting independence, safeguarding confidentiality, transporting individuals in agency vehicles as needed, and upholding NADSP ethics. The role emphasizes person-centered supports, teamwork, and collaboration with families to help individuals achieve personal goals; HS diploma or GED required with preferred experience in supporting people with IDD, and a valid driver’s license is highly preferred. Flexible part-time shifts (mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnights; weekdays/weekends) and opportunities for career growth are available. Location: Jamaica, NY, USA.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience working with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities highly preferred
- Valid driver’s license highly preferred
