Job Summary
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will empower individuals, promote independence, and foster inclusion in residential and community settings. Responsibilities include implementing person-centered supports, documentation of services and progress, supporting medical needs, promoting community integration, assisting with financial tasks, coordinating meal preparation, handling incidents and emergencies, and maintaining effective communication. Candidates should demonstrate competency in job functions, possess strong communication skills, have a valid driver's license, and complete related training.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Demonstrate competency in essential job functions
- Obtain and maintain a clear criminal background clearance
- Have and maintain an active U.S. driver’s license that complies with the company’s driving eligibility criteria
- Strong communication skills
- High School proficiency in reading and writing English
- Ability to perform physical tasks and perform mobility support
- Successful completion of Medication Administration Training course provided by Thomas Allen inc.
