Job Summary
Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, assist with activities of daily living and community engagement, document progress in ISPs, transport to appointments and activities, maintain a safe living environment, and promote independence. Role includes training and mentorship, mileage reimbursement, and a fixed starting rate of $18.50/hr with varied schedules including weekends/holidays. Must be at least 18, have a valid driver’s license, basic computer skills for documentation, and strong teamwork and communication skills. Strong desire to support individuals in leading their best lives within a person-centered care framework.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Willingness to assist individuals with personal cares and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Physical requirements: ability to stand, walk, bend, or squat for extended periods; lift up to 50 lbs
