Job Summary
A Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them with daily living tasks, personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparation, transportation to appointments, and participation in community activities. The role emphasizes building relationships, documenting progress, following support plans, and promoting independence in a person-centered home environment. Paid training is provided; full-time and part-time schedules are available with AM, PM, and NOC shifts; benefits include health insurance, retirement matching, PTO, and various perquisites. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required; 18+ and successful background clearance are prerequisites.
