Job Summary
Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those with potential behavioral support needs. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), household tasks (cleaning, meal preparation, budgeting), and community activities; transport to appointments and activities as needed; document progress in electronic systems and report changes to supervisors. Maintain a clean, safe living environment and promote independence, personal choice, and life skills per Individual Service Plans (ISPs). Demonstrate strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills; show genuine interest in supporting individuals to achieve goals and engage in the community. Training provided to ensure readiness for challenging behaviors and regulatory documentation; mileage reimbursement available. Requires willingness to work varied schedules including weekends/holidays and a valid driver’s license with auto insurance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of auto insurance
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Willingness to assist with ADLs
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, or squat for extended periods
- Lift up to 50 lbs
