Job Summary
Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides care and support in a residential setting, helping people achieve their personal goals per individual Support Plans, including daily living activities, personal care, meal preparation, medication administration under nurse supervision, and participation in activities to enhance quality of life. Responsibilities include daily direct care and support, personal care tasks, transport to appointments or outings, documentation and reporting compliant with medical orders and state requirements, and participation in ongoing program activities and staff meetings. Must demonstrate teamwork, communication, and a compassionate, mission-driven approach aligned with AbleLight values.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required unless directed by state regulations
- Experience: 0 Years
- Lic or Cert Program specific based on state requirements: may or may not need a Driver's License with no negative Motor Vehicle Record findings
