Job Summary
Direct Support Professional (DSP) providing person-centered support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include promoting teamwork, coaching and mentoring, implementing individual support plans (ISP) in alignment with CMS regulations, documenting client participation and progress, coordinating transportation to appointments and activities, and maintaining a clean, organized home environment. The role involves active treatment and skill development, collaboration with colleagues and leadership, and delivering professional, reliable care to help clients live their best lives. Shift-specific duties include on-site care during 4P-12A hours, with occasional weekends, and ensuring compliance with required certifications and trainings.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate and/or GED preferred
- Valid driver's license
- CPR certification within 30 days of hire
- Certified in Professional Crisis Management (PCM) within 60 days of hire
- Ability to lift repetitively a minimum of 50 pounds
