Job Summary
Assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in maximizing strengths and interests. Responsibilities include providing personal care, emotional support, and supervision while ensuring health and safety. Implement person-centered plans and behavior support strategies. Maintain a clean therapeutic environment and assist with daily living activities. Document services and behavior, communicate effectively with team members, and attend required training. Essential physical capabilities include frequent lifting and assisting individuals. Must be willing to work in high-energy settings and available for scheduled hours.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to meet essential physical demands of position
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Enthusiasm for working with people with I/DD
- Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships
- Basic computer skills
- Must hold or obtain and maintain certifications such as CPR, SCIP-R, etc.
