Job Summary
Direct Support Professional responsible for hands-on care, personal daily living support, health and wellness tasks (including medication administration), mobility assistance, behavioral and emotional support, community and social engagement, communications and advocacy, and collaboration with healthcare providers. Maintain accurate documentation (daily notes, progress/incident reports) in electronic systems while supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and other support needs to live independently in homes and communities. Position requires NYS driver’s license with driving experience and an HS diploma or equivalent; shift includes Sat-Wed 12AM-8AM in Far Rockaway, NY area.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- New York State Driver’s License with 2 years of driving experience
- Experience working with adults with behavioral health or other disabilities preferred
