Job Summary
Provide 1:1 support for individuals receiving services, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment where they can thrive. Assist with daily living, personal hygiene, grooming, and transportation to activities, appointments, and social gatherings. Continually supervise those served while documenting activities and progress toward goals throughout each shift. Report potential abuse, neglect, or exploitation as a mandatory reporter and may assist with medication administration as determined by the person's team. Maintain all required certifications and attend mandatory trainings. This role emphasizes person-centered care, empowerment, and advocacy within home and community settings.
Required Qualifications
- At least 16 years of age
- Possess or be working toward a high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of vehicle insurance
- Ability to complete and pass all criminal and personal background checks
- Ability to pass random drug screenings
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to respond to situations where people may attempt to run to or from an area
