Job Summary
Support individuals with developmental disabilities in engaging with community, social, recreational, educational, and employment activities. Assist with developing independent living and social skills, including budgeting, communication, and self-care. Provide transportation and supervision during community outings and events while monitoring, documenting, and reporting progress in accordance with agency policies. Encourage self-advocacy and decision-making skills to promote personal growth. Collaborate with family members, case managers, and team members to implement individualized service plans. Ensure safety, dignity, and well-being at all times. Participate in required training, meetings, and continuing education as mandated by DDD and agency standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental intellectual disabilities
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification upon hire
