Job Summary
Maintain sight and sound supervision of clients while implementing their annual plan of support, goals, and objectives. Provide encouragement, motivation, and education to enhance social, community, and life skills. Assist with personal care, hygiene, feeding, and toileting; administer medications after completing required training. Manage behaviors using approved techniques, including crisis intervention and positive behavior supports. Transport clients to community activities following vehicle training and maintain documentation. Participate in staff meetings, attend professional development training, and submit recommendations for continuous quality improvement. Work Monday through Friday from 8:15am to 4:30pm at an hourly rate of $17.00.
Required Qualifications
- HS Required
- Must be able to work effectively with client population and in a team-based environment
- Proficient with Windows, Outlook, and MS Word
- Valid Virginia driver's license with excellent driving record
Desired Qualifications
- BS/BA degree in related field preferred
- Experience with relevant population
- Experience with proprietary software preferred
- Excellent documentation skills
