Direct Support Professional - Day Support, Specialized Services

Provide direct care and support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a day services setting focusing on community skills development and rehabilitative training. Responsibilities include monitoring participant behaviors, safety and health per service plans; instructing and supervising skill development; assisting with personal hygiene and daily living tasks; operating transportation and lift equipment; administering medications; preparing progress notes and reports; coordinating with habilitation staff; ensuring facility readiness and safety; coaching budgeting and use of personal funding accounts; and collaborating with families and staff to support client participation in social and recreational activities. Must have high school diploma, Virginia driver’s license, First Aid/CPR certification, and THEROPS and Medication Management training; prior experience in day support programs preferred.
