Job Summary
Coach essential life skills, encourage social engagement, and lead recreational or community-based activities to foster independence. Provide individualized supports, help navigate daily goals, and contribute to a supportive program environment while completing factual documentation. Assist with mobility, program setup, and transportation using DDRC vehicles across facilities and community settings. Requires Mon-Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm schedule, current driver's license, and one year of relevant experience. Partner with the NADSP Badge Academy program within our mission to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Strong preference for candidates possessing at least one year of paid work or related volunteer experience, particularly with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Empathy and a genuine passion for supporting others
- Current driver's license
- A motor vehicle record that meets DDRC Policy
- Willingness to drive a large van and a variety of vehicles
- Basic computer skills
- A willingness to learn
- A problem-solving mindset
- A compassionate spirit
