Job Summary
Assist consumers with developmental disabilities in skill development across independent living, adaptive behaviors, socialization, and activities of daily living. Supervise individuals in the community while leading group sessions to reinforce learned skills and ensure safety. Assess needs of lower-functioning or non-verbal consumers through observation to develop valued outcomes, then provide weekly documentation and annual progress reports aligned with the Day Habilitation Plan. Ensure compliance with the ISP and Day Habilitation Plan while maintaining required certifications in AMAP, SCIP-R, CPR, and First Aid.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least one year experience providing direct care services to adults with a developmental disability
- AMAP certified
- SCIP-R trained
- CPR & First Aid Trainer
