Job Summary
Assist consumers with developmental disabilities in skill development across independent living, adaptive behaviors, socialization, and activities of daily living. Supervise consumers in the community while reinforcing group session skills and ensuring safety. Lead group sessions to facilitate discussions that provide learning skills for community use. Assess the needs of lower functioning or non-verbal consumers through observations to develop valued outcomes. Provide weekly documentation of progress in accordance with the Day Habilitation Plan and submit annual and semi-annual progress reports.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least one year experience providing direct care services to adults with a developmental disability
- AMAP certified
- SCIP-R trained
- CPR & First Aid Trained
