Job Summary
Assist consumers with developmental disabilities in skill development across independent living, adaptive behaviors, socialization, and activities of daily living. Supervise individuals in the community while reinforcing learned skills and ensuring safety. Lead group sessions to facilitate discussions that build community-useable skills. Assess needs of lower-functioning or non-verbal consumers through observation and evaluation to develop valued outcomes. Provide weekly documentation of progress and submit annual and semi-annual reports on outcomes. Ensure compliance with the ISP and Day Habilitation Plan by providing input on valued outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least one year experience providing direct care services to adults with a developmental disability
- AMAP certified
- SCIP-R trained
- CPR & First Aid Trained
