Job Summary
Read, implement, and document services according to individual service plans and procedures to enhance quality of life for people with developmental disabilities. Ensure safe and effective behavior management while supporting unique capacities, personality, and potential to promote self-advocacy. Facilitate personal growth and development by assisting individuals in overcoming barriers and challenges. Demonstrate and assist with meal planning, food preparation, storage, and handling. Perform these direct support services as a relief role in the Day Habilitation program, starting at $16.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform all job functions in accordance with agency values
- Ability and willingness to obtain Certification in CPI (behavior certification)
- Ability and willingness to Achieve and maintain (through agency training) proficiency in all of the following NYS DSP Core
- Ability to communicate professionally with various levels of staff, People We Serve and family members
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Driver's license and acceptable driving record preferred
