Job Summary
Assist individuals with developmental disabilities and the elderly with daily living tasks including cooking, cleaning, shopping, and transportation. Provide personalized, high-quality services to enhance their quality of life while operating a motor vehicle to travel between locations as needed. Work in indoor and outdoor environments, including homes and community settings, requiring physical abilities to lift up to 50 pounds and perform de-escalation techniques. Maintain clear communication and organization while adhering to company values and completing required training and certifications.
Required Qualifications
- At least eighteen (18) years of age
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Access to working mobile phone (iPhone/ Android)
- CPR and First Aid certified, or ability to obtain successfully during new hire training period
- A valid driver's license
- Acceptable driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Proof of insurance for the vehicle
- Ability to travel based on operational and clientele needs
- Successfully pass a criminal background check
- Successfully pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
- Successfully pass drug screening
- ND Department of Human Service (DHS) pre-employment approval
- Ability to accurately observe and recall surroundings and events
- Ability to communicate information clearly, concisely, and accurately
- Ability to read, write, understand, and apply written instructions in English
- Ability to complete basic computer-related tasks
