Job Summary
Conduct personal hygiene, grocery shopping, housekeeping, meal preparation, and socialization for residents in community homes. Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment while organizing daily routines and keeping accurate records. Encourage engagement in community activities based on individual likes and abilities. Advocate for residents when needed, ensuring their best interests are prioritized. Serve as a role model supporting independence with respect and care. Work flexible shifts including days, evenings, and weekends under location supervisor guidance.
Required Qualifications
- Completed Grade 10 in Canada, or you have achieved Level 6 on the Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment
- A Class 5 Manitoba Driver's License (Intermediate Stage acceptable)
- Have a smart device with internet access
- Working a flexible schedule including days, evenings, and weekends
- Provide satisfactory background checks, including a Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry check and Child Abuse Registry check
- Provide employment references
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with intellectual disabilities or a certificate in Disability and Community Support, Health Care Aide, or a related field
