Job Summary
Conduct client supervision and care for adults in Damar Villages, managing crisis situations and promoting appropriate social behaviors. Assist with daily living, self-help, and social skills development while supporting clients in achieving their community-based goals. Maintain a safe and healthy environment through comprehensive training in verbal intervention and physical management techniques. Respond to emergencies and facilitate maximum potential for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or autism. Weekend shifts available 7:00 am to 11:00 pm, with optional Monday-Friday coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 to work in our Community Living and Support Services program
- Be able to provide formal proof of a high school diploma or GED
- Possess a valid Indiana driver's license and good driving record
- Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions
- Successfully complete a pre-employment physical
- Favorably meet and maintain Damar's background screening
Desired Qualifications
- Weekend (7:00 am - 11:00 pm / Sat & Sun) *Can pick up an optional 8-hour shift Monday-Friday
