Job Summary
Provide daily support, assistance, and instruction to 2–3 adults with intellectual disabilities or chronic mental illness in their homes and the community. Teach independent living skills including money management, socialization, cooking, and personal hygiene while advocating for their needs, goals, and self-expression. Offer transportation as needed and ensure safety through background checks and registry verification. Work flexible shifts including weekends with a valid driver's license and insurance. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Auto insurance
- Good driving record
- Ability to pass an extensive background check including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, Sex Offender registry and a criminal history check
- Must be available and willing to work some weekend hours
- Must be available and willing to work every other weekend
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with Supported Community Living (SCL)
- Experience working with people with disabilities
