Job Summary
Provide support to individuals with disabilities to lead self-directed lives; assist with personal care, daily routines, transportation to events, job sites, and medical appointments; help integrate into the community; ensure safety, confidentiality, and adherence to Individual Support Plans; manage documentation and shift notes, and maintain various certifications and health requirements. Requires effective communication, organizational skills, ability to work in home/community settings, and compliance with training and licensing requirements. May require working part-time or full-time with duties including meals, housekeeping, medication administration, and client empowerment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Acceptable driving record
- Criminal background check per state/local requirements
- Sex offender check
- Abuse registry
- Drug and felony offender listings
- Training requirements must be met
- CPR/First Aid certification (maintain)
- Medication certification (maintain)
- CPI training (maintain)
