Job Summary
Direct Support Professionals (DSP) at Community Options will provide person-centered care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include assisting with daily routines such as cleaning, cooking, feeding, medication administration, and personal hygiene. DSPs will monitor health needs, participate in community activities, drive individuals to appointments, and ensure accurate documentation of care provided. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED, exhibit strong interpersonal skills, and have a valid driver’s license. This is a full-time role that includes excellent benefits and opportunities for career growth.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
- Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports
- Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
