Job Summary
Direct Support Professionals (DSP) provide person-centered care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include fostering meaningful relationships, utilizing Person Centered Plans, assisting with daily living and independence skills, monitoring health needs, driving individuals to appointments, and ensuring accurate program documentation. Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and strong communication and time management skills. No experience is required as training is provided. Starting pay is $17.80/hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
- Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports
- Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
