Job Summary
Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by assisting with daily routines such as cleaning, cooking, feeding, medication administration, and personal hygiene. Monitor health needs, report concerns immediately, and facilitate community participation through driving to appointments and engaging in recreational activities. Ensure accurate program documentation and billable records while building support networks with families and community members. Shifts include morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight rotations; weekend availability is required. No experience necessary; paid training provided.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports
- Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations
- Must be able to work every other weekend
- Must have weekend availability
