Job Summary
Provide hands-on assistance, instruction, and training to individuals to develop daily living skills in communication, self-care, household management, travel, and money management per their individualized plan of service. Accompany clients on community activities such as grocery shopping, banking, and recreation while planning group leisure events and career exploration coaching. Serve as a role model demonstrating appropriate social behaviors and safety considerations during all interactions. Full-time position in Canandaigua, Victor, and Geneva, NY with a Monday through Friday schedule from 10am to 6pm, requiring flexibility for agency needs. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or GED, and have a valid NYS driver's license if driving is required. Required Qualifications
- 18 years old
- HS Diploma or GED preferred and one year of relevant experience or an equivalent amount of education/and or experience preferred
- If driving is required, reliable means of transportation, NYS driver's license and safe driving record for 1 full year prior to hire date
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form
