Direct Support Professional (CLS)

Provide ongoing guidance and support to individuals with intellectual and other disabilities, ensuring active participation in self-care routines, health, safety, household chores, socialization, and overall wellbeing. Assist with medication administration, meal preparation, and transportation to medical appointments, shopping, and recreational outings. Ensure a safe and clean home by participating in household chores as needed. Implement and document all treatment plans, residential habilitation goals, and agency materials to promote independence. Serve as a member of the inter-disciplinary team by attending meetings to discuss progress and gather information. Mentor new Direct Support Staff by demonstrating supportive routines and reviewing training manuals. Adhere to overtime, scheduling, and minimum staffing policies while maintaining certification and training expectations. This role requires regular unsupervised physical contact and a valid NYS driver's license.
