Direct Support Professional (CLS)

Provide ongoing guidance and support to individuals with intellectual and other disabilities, focusing on self-care routines, health, safety, household chores, socialization, and overall wellbeing. Assist with medication administration, meal preparation including diet adherence and cooking skills, and transportation for medical appointments, shopping, and recreational outings. Ensure a safe and clean home while implementing and documenting treatment plans, residential habilitation goals, and medical case notes. Mentor new Direct Support Staff by reviewing training manuals and demonstrating supportive routines. Participate in inter-disciplinary team meetings, house meetings, and maintain all required certifications. Adhere to overtime, scheduling, and minimum staffing policies. This role requires regular unsupervised physical contact, a valid NYS driver's license, and the ability to lift and transfer individuals.
