Direct Support Professional (CLS)

Provide ongoing guidance and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities to ensure active participation in self-care routines, health, safety, household chores, and socialization. Assist with medication administration, meal preparation including diet adherence and cooking skills, and transportation to medical appointments and recreational outings. Implement and document treatment plans, residential habilitation goals, and medical case notes while adhering to AMAP policy and procedures. Mentor new Direct Support Staff by demonstrating supportive routines and reviewing training manuals. Participate in inter-disciplinary team meetings and House Meetings to discuss progress and goal achievements. Maintain certification and training expectations, ensuring a safe and clean home environment through active participation in household chores.
