Direct Support Professional (CLS)

Provide ongoing guidance and support to individuals with intellectual and other disabilities, ensuring active participation in self-care routines, health, safety, household chores, and socialization. Assist with medication administration, meal preparation including diet adherence and cooking skills, and transportation for medical appointments and recreational outings. Implement and document treatment plans, residential habilitation goals, and communication logs while adhering to agency policies and minimum staffing procedures. Serve as a member of the inter-disciplinary team by attending meetings to discuss progress and goal achievements. Mentor new Direct Support Staff by demonstrating supportive routines and reviewing training manuals. Maintain certification and training expectations while ensuring a safe and clean home environment.
