Direct Support Professional (CLS)

Provide ongoing guidance and support to individuals with intellectual and other disabilities, ensuring active participation in self-care routines, health, safety, household chores, socialization, and overall wellbeing. Assist individuals with medication administration, meal preparation including diet adherence and cooking skills, and transportation for medical appointments, shopping, and recreational outings. Ensure a safe and clean home by participating in household chores as needed and follow all treatment plans utilizing adaptive and safety equipment. Implement and document residential habilitation goals, medical case notes, and communication logs to promote independence. Mentor new Direct Support Staff by demonstrating supportive routines and reviewing training manuals. Serve as a member of the inter-disciplinary team by attending meetings to discuss progress and goal achievements. Adhere to overtime, scheduling, and minimum staffing policies while maintaining all certification and training expectations.
