Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •High School Diploma or equivalent
• •Must be at least 18 years of age
• •Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
• •Must be able to occasionally pull at least 40 lbs.
• •Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop as part of regular job duties.
• •Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle or operate objects, tools, or controls.
• •Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• •Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from floor level, which requires working on hands and knees, bending, standing, and lifting.
• •Vision requirements include close, distance, and peripheral vision.
• •Must be able to talk and hear.
• •Must be fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Programs only.
• •Must complete criminal background Name check in the registries (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities).
• •Must pass Drug testing.
• •Must provide Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
• •Must provide Proof of employment history or references (if required).
• •Must provide Proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle IF required for providing transportation for individuals.
• •Must be able to assist with medication administration in accordance with state laws and regulations.
• •Must be able to maintain accurate documentation of provided services and support.
• •Must be able to understand and address challenges faced by individuals with disabilities, using effective advocacy strategies.
• •Must be able to connect individuals with community resources for career development, education, and volunteer opportunities.
• •Must be able to encourage effective communication, adapting to individual needs and preferences.
• •Must be able to assist with personal care tasks, such as hygiene, bathing, dressing, and household chores (laundry, cleaning, and decorating).
• •Must be able to provide transportation for appointments, errands, and community activities.
• •Must be able to advocate for individuals' human, legal, and civil rights.
• •Must be able to promote health and safety by supporting wellness initiatives and accident prevention.
• •Must be able to encourage self-advocacy and empower individuals in making their own choices.
• •Must be able to facilitate community engagement by accompanying individuals to work, recreational activities, and social events.
• •Must be able to teach and support independent living skills, including household management and personal care.
• •Must be able to foster social connections by supporting relationship-building within the community.
• •Must be able to support informed decision-making regarding living arrangements, employment, and social activities.
• •Must be able to ensure confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all aspects of care.
• •Must be able to implement services aligned with their person-centered plans.
• •Must be able to help individuals engage meaningfully in their communities and achieve their personal goals.
• •Must be able to assist individuals in identifying and expressing their needs.
• •Must be able to provide personalized support to individuals with disabilities.
• •Must be able to foster independence and self-advocacy.
• •Must be able to understand each individual's history, social and family networks, and aspirations.
• •Must be able to provide support with compassion and respect.
• •Must be able to operate under supervision and follow established guidelines to ensure high-quality care and advocacy.
• •Must be able to maintain accurate records and follow regulatory guidelines.
• •Must be able to provide free CPR, first aid, and job-specific training opportunities (as per company offer, not candidate requirement - DROPPED)
• •Must be able to work FT 2nd Shift Monday-Friday/EOW 8:30a-8:30p (Schedule requirement - DROPPED)
• •Must be able to work in North Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and New Jersey (Location requirement - DROPPED)
